Why we afraid for a change? Is change a good or bad thing?

I was driving on the road, and took a U-turn at the traffic light, it is a junction near to my house. I remembered my husband told me, last time, this road had never exist. And the corner towards the school was only a bush over 10 years back. At that time, there was only one way to go into this residential area, and it was not more than 20 houses.

It's hardly to believe that, today, this area had become a significant area in the city. It gathers activities such as industrial, entertainment, residential and commercial into its palm. We could never imagine, what did it looks like in 20 years back?

How do you think about CHANGE? You are the one who welcome or against change?

Some of the people afraid for a change, it's very difficult for them to adapt into new things, for example: new job, new friends, new environment, and the worst is, some may even dislike a new song!

Let me give you some more clear pictures:

1. Peter just completed his internship with company A. He is going to join a new job with another company. He feels frustrated and nervous because he don't know what will be going on. He may be given a new work target, or maybe couldn't going well with new colleagues. All uncertainty popping in his mind.
2. Marry enjoys the way she dealing with her mother. Most of the time when she comes back from work, and during weekends, she seems to be get along with her mother. They can either learn to cook in the kitchen, or go for a short coffee break out there. However, last few days, Marry had been told by a doctor, her mother suffer for chronically illness. She just couldn't accept it! Her day is going to change!

3. Cherryl likes the way her lecturer teaching, she can understand clearly, and it is not bore at all. But when this beginning of semester started, the lecturer will no longer guide them anymore. She became distracted and worried about the future learning session.

4. John doesn't want to inherit his father's business, he totally not interested in the business of making shoes. But because he is the only son of his father, thus nobody is going to take over it. Father unable to accept the reason, because this is a business passed down by John's grandfather. If John doesn't inherit, it means they are going to face a change!

Why someone will afraid for a CHANGE?

There's huge range of people, and one may different from another. When facing the same consequences, some may feel nothing, some may feel difficult, and some may just looking for a way to overcome.

Generally, there's a few factors which will lead us to anxieties:

1. We had implanted the traditional mindset, which we assume the way doing should be like that. If something happen in other way, we will feel sorry to ourselves.

2. We were so used to be in that situation, if it's going to be change, we may feel uncertainty. There are many unknown in the future, we don't know can we adapt into it, or can we make it better. If it can be done better, it's good enough, if not, it will be full of challenges.

3. We used to living with the norm, we used to follow others footsteps. We seems abnormal if we going to change, while others just remain the same way.
